A quick post before my exams!

I’m in the final stretch before my exams, but I wanted to post a quick update.  I got a lot of feedback on the post I made a couple of weeks ago starring some animal print capri pants; a few tweaks were suggested and so after some thrifting I’ve put them into practice.  In final count, I’m not sure whether I actually like it better.

Am I blending in? Or, working with a tricky piece

I’ve been finding a lot of strange clothing at Goodwill lately: dresses printed with cave painting artwork, shoes with weird little beads sewn at odd intervals all over them, shirts with giant squirrels woven across the front.  Most of these have been just a little too wacky to salvage, even though (as you know) my tolerance for wacky clothing is pretty high.  I try to balance my taste for the unusual with an attempt to look approachable– it’s a creative-business-casual wardrobe, for the most part, and I do a fair amount of customer service.  Sometimes you just have to do some good planning to make a strange item play well with others. Case in point: the week before last I ran across a pair of capri pants that were both out of my normal clothing “range” and just too interesting to pass up.  Here is my attempt at a new-to-me style: printed bottoms, and not only printed, but printed with animal print camouflage!
